Restaurant Parque Antumalal, a great culinary experience with panoramic views over Lake Villarrica.

Since 1950 the Restaurant Parque Antumalal has been a culinary tradition in Pucón and the Araucanía region. The Araucaria wood paneled wall, unique style seats and panoramic views combine to offer the most comfortable environment for long lunches, snacks and evening meals in couples, with friends or with family.

Incorporating fresh harvests from the vegetable garden with local produce from the region, the Restaurant Parque Antumalal creates dishes that combine tradition with innovation. Personalized service and excellent wines complement the fine gastronomy. Late dinners in the restaurant often move over to the Don Guillermo Bar with its open fireplace, leather seats and in-house cocktail menu – the perfect place to wind down at the end of the evening.

We invite you to enjoy the flavors and stunning landscapes, and to share the culinary experience of Restaurant Parque Antumalal.

A Family Tradition

Davita, together with her daughter Catalina, the founders of the Antumalal, began preparing recipes that she brought from her birthplace, Prague, in 1945. They baked kuchens and apple pies for tea time, while Guillermo brought visitors to Pucón by boat to taste the famous "Elevenses Antumalal". In 2016, the Lake Café was remodelled and is today the inviting Lake House Antumalal with 3 bedrooms and a spacious living dining area.

In 1950, when the hotel opened, Catalina created a daily menu, alternating European recipes with new ones learnt in Chile. The speciality was trout that the clients fished from the rivers. Prince Phillip and Queen Elisabeth II of English were delighted with the river trout that they enjoyed in this very same spot.

Until 1990, wood was the source of heat for cooking. Electricity was also used generated by the water turbine in the hotel park. Today the Restaurant has a renovated, modern kitchen, and a varied menu that is the result of the fusion of Central European tradition and original Southern Chile flavors.
