Araucania - Lakes
Pucon – San Martín - Villa Angostura – Puyehue - Pucón

Day 1

We depart from Hotel Antumalal towards Currarrehue: the last town in the Chilean side of the Andes, & learn about the Araucanos , our local ethnic - while visiting the Mapuche Museum . The adventure continues into the Andes mountains , with amazing views ,clear rivers & beautiful Araucarias: dinosaur- era trees….that stand guard next to the roads watching time go by.

Arriving at the Lanin National Park in the Argentinean side of the Andes , we´ll admire the most beautiful native forests where we will stop and observe the Lanin Volcano, embracing us with it´s magnificence. From there we will continue to San Martin de los Andes through the vast and beautiful Argentinean pampa.

San Martin today is a pretty and small ski town with reforested pine trees similar to the American North West . We´ll enjoy a Bife de Chorizo steak and a good bottle of wine to rest of our journey full of adventures and recover for the next day.

From San Martin we depart south into the winding road of seven beautifull lakes, with an intense background of forest and mountains proper of the east side of the Andes .

We arrive in Villa la Angostura, a beautifull small town in front of lake Nahuel Huapi. We will visit its exotic national park on a peninsula, famous for the red bark tree :The Arrayan.

Day 3

We begin our return to Pucon, but the adventure doesn't stop there!. We will cross the Andes mountains through beautiful landscapes and Coigue forest as we enter the deep green vegetation of Chile . Just as we exit the mountains, we will stop for lunch next to Lake Puyehue and continue our return home enjoying southern Chile 's dairy farms with volcanoes in the background .

At sunset we will finish the day at, Restaurant Parque Antumalal where we will enjoy a refreshing Cran Sour while reviewing our lovely trip

• The Rate is $410.000 (chilean pesos) per person, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 to preserve comfort.

• This includes all transportation in a van totally equipped with a driver. Refreshments and snacks.

• The hotel reservations in San Martin and Villa la Angostura are not included. We will be glad to assist you with our choices.

• The driver is bilingual, with full knowledge of the area and its surroundings.

• Your booking for Araucania Lakes must be done 1 month in advance.
